VOV – The Zone

About the project

VOV is home to the next generation of gaming and esports venues, enabling gamers, developers and dreamers of all genders, disciplines and abilities to explore endless possibilities and fulfil their potential. 

They are bringing unique world-class flagship concepts to Saudi Arabia, starting with their first experiential gaming venue - “The Zone” - that opened its door in June 2022.

Spanning 1,157sqm, the 90-seat facility is fitted-out with next-gen consoles and state-of-the-art gaming PCs, designed to feel like home for gamers to compete, learn, and socialize. It also features a multipurpose gaming lounge, private gaming rooms, a retail store and an F&B outlet. To enhance the gamers’ experience, sufficient ambient lighting is designed into the space including built-in LED columns and walls that wrap the entire area.

Challenges

Aligning multiple stakeholders, design ideas and technology requirements was challenging, particularly within the construction programme and budget.

Our Solutions and Value Add

JLL supported our client with project management and cost management services from design through to overseeing the specialist consultant’s procurement, construction phase and on to fit-out and handover.

By working collaboratively with our client and stakeholders, the project was closely monitored throughout including proactive management of the procurement process and implementation of a rigorous change control process to keep the budget intact and works on track.
