William is responsible for promoting and upholding the reputation of JLL’s brand, its individual services and products, and its people.
A commercially driven strategic marketer with a passion for connecting the business to our clients in a personal way, William has a depth of experience and skills from previous roles. At software company and mobile phone maker BlackBerry he went from his home country of Canada, to the UK, and then to the US, where he was Vice President, Global Commercial Strategy, with responsibilities including product marketing, market planning, strategic pricing and research & insights.
Via a role leading the European Enterprise Business at Samsung Electronics, he moved back to London with his wife and two children and joined JLL as CMO in 2015. In addition, he is also responsible for the global JLL brand, global Capital Markets marketing and the EMEA Sustainability business.
The way we consume information is changing, so the way we share information should change too. Traditional advertising is dead, so it’s about a digital first approach, with relevant content, which creates emotional connections.
A qualified active football referee, he’s also a Non-Executive Director at Surrey County Football Association. He also likes to cycle; long distances.
