The 7th edition of the Jones Lang LaSalle Real Estate Investor Sentiment Survey (REISS) reveals that real estate remains a popular asset class for Middle Eastern investors who are now taking a more strategic approach as they seek to rebalance their investment portfolios. With real estate providing a more attractive risk/return ratio than alternative investment options, there is an emerging trend for regional investors to dispose of their non-core assets as they look for income-producing real estate offering stable long term returns. This survey encapsulates the views of leading real estate investors from across the MENA region. Participants are limited to active investors and do not include advisors or analysts. While some high net worth individuals are included in the survey, the emphasis is on more 'institutional' investors including Sovereign Wealth Funds, Investment Banks, Private Equity Investors and HNW Family Businesses.
