JLL MENA continues sponsorship of annual Triathlon Series

The Series will feature race categories for all age groups and teams

JLL, the world's leading real estate investment and advisory firm, has announced its continued support of the annual JLL Triathlon Series in Dubai.

Hosted on the outskirts of the Emirate in the grounds of the stunning Jebel Ali Resorts and Hotels, the three-race-series will build on JLL MENA's commitment to being actively involved in the community whilst helping to drive the message of staying fit and healthy.

"Triathlon is one of the fastest growing, and most exciting, sports in the world," said Alan Robertson, CEO of JLL MENA. The sport provides the perfect synergy with our brand, and we are proud to continue our association and commitment of this exciting race Series.  Every year, it grows in stature, attracting more and more people who come from all ages, fitness levels and cultures. If you're looking to challenge yourself, this is a wonderful opportunity to be part of something special."

Once again, JLL MENA is partnering with RACE.ME, the multi-sports events specialists, to deliver the Series, which is being held in association with the Dubai Sports Council.

Paul Venn, part owner of Race.ME, said: "This series has grown into one of the most anticipated on the local race calendar thanks to the stunning Jebel Ali Golf Resort venue and the support of partners like JLL and Dubai Sports Council. It's the perfect race for a first timer and we regularly get as many as 30 percent of the field making their triathlon debut which will only serve to fuel the growth of the sport. What's more, we are seeing more and more youngsters getting involved and an increasing number of UAE Nationals taking up the sport as well, so the future for the JLL Series and the sport in general looks healthy."

Race one of the Series will be held on December 17, with the Series then continuing in the first part of 2017, seeing race two staged on January 14 and culminating in the final race on February 25, which will also include a real estate and construction category for those in the industry looking to test themselves.

The Series includes individual and team categories, with the Sprint Distance and Super Sprint Distance Triathlon offered in both. The Super Sprint includes a 375m swim, 10km bike ride and 2.5km run, whilst the more challenging Sprint Distance will see participants tackle a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run.

The course includes swimming in the hotel's beautiful sea starting from the beach area, before running through the hotel grounds to transition to the bike course, followed by the run which includes a new and technical 2.5km loop taking in the picturesque marina.
